An artpack is a release assembled by a textmode art group. Packs gathered artwork, member lists, information files, advertisements, and utilities into archives that could be traded between bulletin-board systems and scene participants.

A filename alone cannot tell the complete story of a scene work. Its pack establishes when it circulated, which group presented it, who contributed alongside it, and how the release described itself.

Ascii Gallery links rendered artwork back to releases and contributors so the archive can be browsed as a chronology rather than an anonymous image stream.

Use the release chronology for pack-level browsing, the group directory for longer creative lineages, and artist profiles for individual contribution trails. Each artwork can still be opened directly in the immersive terminal viewer.
